Health and Safety Policy

Purpose of Policy:

Ultimate Warriors CIC is committed to protecting the health and safety of its staff, students, and visitors. This policy clarifies the responsibilities for health and safety matters within the organization. Note that this policy is not part of the employment contract and may be amended by the employer as needed. The policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness.

Who is Responsible for Health and Safety?

Ensuring a safe gym environment is a shared responsibility between the employer and staff. This policy applies to all employees, directors, contractors, trainees, and volunteers.

Employer Responsibilities:

The employer is responsible for:

  1. Safeguarding the health and safety of staff, students, volunteers, and visitors.
  2. Identifying and managing health and safety risks.
  3. Providing a safe workplace and emergency exit arrangements.
  4. Maintaining safe workout areas and equipment.
  5. Offering information, training, and supervision for safe work practices.
  6. Ensuring health and safety representatives receive appropriate training.
  7. Conducting health and safety inductions and role-specific safety training.
  8. Promoting effective communication about health and safety matters.
  9. Providing instructions and advice during health emergencies, such as epidemics.
  10. Regularly reviewing and updating health and safety management.
  11. Appointing Tony Finnikin (Head Coach) as the Health and Safety Officer for day-to-day responsibilities.
